Busy Bee 008

 (Top - New Look
Stupid Smirky Face - My own)

This week I've been...
settling in to my job stacking fudge! wandering what went wrong and why feeling proud of myself loving all my blogging ladies  re-evaluating people/situations looking at the bigger picture wearing sunglasses outdoors for the first time this year! wishing summer would rear its sunkissed skin my way enjoying the sounds of Cypress Hill on my walks to work

As you can probably tell, I made a few tweaks to the blog over the weekend and just had a general tidy up. I just wanted it to be a bit neater so I took a few hours out to actually learn how to do things involving HTML. It was an absolute LOLfest as you can imagine. What dya think? I've felt quite good this week. The sun has decided to show its face and I think this had made me feel a little happier about things. Only just over 3 weeks til I see Luke again. It cannot come quick enough! I'm a loner, haha. For once in my life, I actually don't have a lot to say :/ I'll keep this short and sweet! I hope you've all had a good weekend.

Posts I loved this week;
I've been eating out of a lunchbox this week at work for the first time since about year 7 - you know, when it was still relatively acceptable to eat sandwiches at school ;) Oh yes, I've regressed greatly. It has felt so obscure to sit and eat sandwiches out of a box. Oh, what is my life?! I've been looking for fun lunchbox ideas so I was pleasantly suprised when the lovely Sofia posted about her new lunchbox. I definitely need to pimp mine up a bit. If you're looking for fun ideas go take a peek - she also posted a little site where people share their own lunches. I love a bit of inspiration!

I've been *prematurely* looking for holiday clothes this week so I was very happy to see that the lovely Victoria had written a style stealer post on the beautifully sunkissed biatch Kristin Cavallari. I love the laidback LA style but it'd be enough to bring on a bout of pneumonia if I were to showcase it in my seaside town. Therefore, I'm going to totally abuse it when I go to Corfu this summer :) I'm thinking light tees, distressed shorts, straw trilbies and gorgeous glads. Mieow! Go over and have a look if you need some clothing inspiration ;)

My week in posts...
I've posted 6 out of 7 days this week! Corr, aren't you lucky buggers?! In true 'Vivatramp' tradition the week was started with a dose of happiness. I've recently written up a huuuuge list of things that make me happy so it looks like this feature may be around for a while. It helps me get through when I'm feeling low so I hope you guys appreciate it too! Tuesday was the first of the month so I welcomed it by summarising my February and giving myself new aims to work towards this month. It just helps me to gain perspective and get things done - even when I'd rather be sat doing bugger all (: This weeks 'What If' post was extremely fun to compile - it also made me realise just how hard the Eavis' must work to create Glasto! It saw me delve into my imagination and discuss what I'd do if I were to organise my own music fest. A must read for music lovers! Thursday finally saw my Crown and Glory photos. I'd been wanting to take them for a while but the weather was horrendous. Friday brought a new installment of my 'Snap Happy' feature. This week included comfort food, my face and my brand spanking new name badge ;) I hope you've all enjoyed these posts. I'm probably gunna re-jig features etc in a couple of months. Mieow!

A few to follow: crumbs for dinner, Sophie-Bella-Bell and cyrillawest.

Corr, so many promising blogs so little space to introduce them! I had a couple of emails / comments last week about featuring particular blogs so I hope you find these write ups do you justice! As ever, if you've really been enjoying a certain blog lately or you'd like to nominate your own blog please email me. My email address can be found in my 'about me' tab. To read all of my previous 'bloglight' posts click here.

Draw The Stars
Jess from 'Draw the Stars' started her blog so she could have a place to 'share all (her) inspiration for fashion, art, music, books, photography and anything else creative'. To be honest, I think you should just follow this girl on her personality alone because she's so friendly and caring! It's just an added bonus that her blog happens to be a lovely read too. Jess' posts range from personal to her outfits to her current wishlists making each post interesting and fresh. Go and say hey - she certainly won't bite!

Wayward Girl
Madeline from 'Wayward Girl' loves vintage, travel, art, literature and fashion to name but a few things. I absolutely adore beautiful Madeline's outfit posts because her style is eclectic and fun and not necessarily solely focused on the 'on trend' pieces which can often make fashion blogs repetitive to read. She's also starting a new blog schedule soon with lots of new features for all her lovely readers to enjoy so I suggest you become one of them by clicking that follow button! She holds tea parties for gods sakes, what's not to love?!

wise rabbit says
Ashley from 'wise rabbit says' blogs about her life, fashion and art. I was really pleased when I recieved an email from Ashley asking if I could check out her blog because it really caught my eye. Her recent outfit post in the snow was a lovely read and included a gorgeous outfit with a beautiful wintery backdrop. I certainly recommend 'wise rabbit says' to those that like their outfit posts to offer something a little more than the average indoor post. To top it all off she's absolutely gorgeous! Ashley's blog rather deserves a place on your dashboard and I think it's really odd how she hasn't attracted hundreds of you already! Go click that follow button now (:

FORTY FOUR SUNSETS
Kirsty from 'FORTY FOUR SUNSETS' enjoys fashion, books, music and referring to herself in the third person. What I like about Kirsty's blog is that it is eclectic which keeps it fresh and unpredictable but in a good way. Kirsty commented on my last 'bloglight' feature saying how she'd love to be on here because she was struggling to get new followers despite good viewing stats so I really hope this gives her a good following because this blog deserves it. If not solely because it introduced me to the literal Harry Potter trailer! Click the blog link and see if it takes your fancy (:

kisses and curls
Laura from 'kisses and curls likes high heels and strong spirits and began her blog after 'months of worshipping fashion and beauty blogs'. If honest beauty reviews are your thing then I suggest you add Laura's blog to your dashboard. They're clearly presented and explained in good detail which allows for a really nice read but sadly can damage your bank balance in the process! It's not all about beauty as she also does various other personal posts. She's only got 10 of them at the moment but they certainly show blogging potential ;) Why not have a peek for yourself?!

*Why not cuddle up in bed with a nice cuppa and work your way through these blogs?! I hope you find some lovely new blogs to follow through this post. I'll see you tomorrow for another 'H is for Happy' post.

Sunday, November 28, 2010

  I thought I'd introduce you all to a few more blogs I've been reading lately. Feel free to go and check them all out and maybe even give them a follow (: If you've found any blogs recently that you think I should feature in my next 'bloglight' post please feel free to email me. My email address can be found in my 'about vivatramp' tab. For previous bloglight posts just click here.

Voodle
Emma from 'Voodle' likes cupcakes, oversized gold jewellery, tea parties and being a massive geek to name but a few things. Emma's blog is a perfect mix of hauls, outfits, personal posts and the things that she loves. I'm really suprised she doesn't have a lot more followers because I really enjoy everything she has to post about! I think you guys would enjoy it too so go look at her blog and see what you think (: I really enjoyed her recent post on a little book she has carried around with her since she was just 13 years old. It really inspired me! She also has a lovely taste in music. Take a look and tell me what you think!

daisychaaain
Daisy from 'daisychaaain' is a relatively new blogger and is hoping to study a fashion photography/styling course next year. I recently found Daisy's blog and despite the fact she hasn't got many posts the ones she does have are lovely to read. She's already got a 'whats in my bag?' post up along with her Christmas wish list so if you're looking for inspiration go take a peek. I already love Daisy's sense of style so if you're partial to fashion blogs or just love a bit of style inspiration I would recommend this blog. You can also find her over at Lookbook and Twitter so what are you waiting for? Go say hello!

S I T T I N G * P R E T T Y
Claire from 'Sitting Pretty' is a fashion styling student and likes vintage, chunky knits, bright lipstick, markets and charity shops to name but a few things. Back in 2009, Claire started her blog because she wanted to discuss things that interested her - namely fashion. If you're a fan of vintage this is a blog for you as she's recently visited some vintage fairs! I also really enjoyed the post she wrote on her travels in Chester which you can read here. It looks so beautiful! Claire also posts some lovely outfits that make me very very jealous! I'd recommend adding this blog to your dashboard now. Hey, you don't need me to tell you what to do - go see for yourself!

Dainty Dresses
Charlene from 'Dainty Dresses' is a graphic design graduate with a growing interest in all things fashion related, nail polish and nail art. She may only have 3 posts under her belt but I can certainly see great blogging potential! I really loved her winter wishlist post - hello USA flag scarf! If you're a fan of the nail art that bloggers, such as the lovely Gem Fatale, produce then I suggest you add Charlene's blog to your dashboard as she's already showing off her WAH nails skills. I wish I was capable! Take a peek at her lovely blog and see what you think.

Nathalie
Nathalie from 'Nathalie' is a blogger convert and blogs about what she wears and her whimsical daily adventures. She's just moved over from Tumblr to Blogger and thank god she has because I'm rather loving her posts so far! If the photos of her gorgeous little kitten don't sway you I don't know what will! Nathalie is also currently looking for your fashion advice with regards to dresses so why not be a doll and go give the girl some advice, eh?! After all, that's what we are all here for. She definitely deserves a lot of followers so why not click the button! Let me know what you think (:

*There you have it. I hope you all enjoy these blogs and add a fair few to your blog rolls! I'll be back tomorrow for another 'H is for Happy' post. Once again, if you think there is any newish blogs in particular that I should feature next time please email me with the details or leave a comment here. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

I've recently spruced up my blog roll and thought I'd share a few more blogs with you that I feel deserve a mention! Feel free to go and check them out. If you think I should check a certain blog out then please leave me a comment with the link. I love finding new blogs to read! For previous 'bloglight' posts please click here. Ooh, before I forget, I got given a blog award from the lovely 'love, zsara'. Thank you, it's much appreciated!

dottie
Dottie is obsessed with fashion, photography, doodling, food, magazines and jewellery to name but a few things. She started her blog to 'keep notes on the next year of (her) life, to share what (she's) making and wearing, to meet new people and to find inspiration'. If you haven't been over to Dottie's blog before - why not?! She takes fashion blogging to another level with her beautifully quirky outfit posts with their equally interesting backdrops. Her blog isn't just visually interesting either as she's written some interesting posts too such as her recent debate style post entitled ''Is Topshop killing individual style'. It certainly makes for a good read and I definitely found myself agreeing with the points made. Basically, this is a blog for those interested in style but despair of the 'same old' nature of standard outfit posts.

Chloe...
Chloe from 'Chloe...' created her blog in order to 'express (her) thoughts, ideas and to unleash (her) creative potential'. Whilst she hasn't been blogging for long she's written some interesting posts which she's mixed in between outfit posts. I really enjoyed reading Chloe's post on charity shops vs. junk/antique shops. It really made me want to go get myself lost in a fair few junk stores! You should definitely go and check her blog out (: Hell, may even follow it!

effiesmakeupbox
Don't be fooled by the blog name as this blog isn't solely about beauty. Although, her make-up tutorials are rather good and you should totally check out her youtube channel too! 'effiesmakeupbox' is an eclectic mix of outfit posts, hauls, make up tutorials, reviews and personal posts. I reccomend it to those that prefer blogs that offer a bit more of a range. I'm also really liking her week in pictures feature. Go take a peek and leave some love.

not all who wander are lost
The lovely Brittany from 'not all who wander are lost' says her blog is simply 'a plethora of thoughts and opinions on fashion, life and the random quirks that follow'. She enjoys 'helping others, comfortable attire, and finding the beauty in everything'. What's not to love already, huh?! I only stumbled across her blog recently but I am so glad I did. This is another of those fashion/style blogs that I think really stands out for me due to its diversity in backdrops and just the fact that she wears some of the most beautiful pieces. Furthermore, she's absolutely bloody gorgeous! Brittany recently did an interesting post on vintage/hand me down items from parents that you should totally check out here. I advise you to pop along to her blog now and leave some love!

Go check these girls out and let me know what you think! I'll be back with a post tomorrow hopefully so keep an eye out.

[Familiar with London and the things it has to offer? I'm looking for your advice on places to go. If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave them here. Thanks, it's much appreciated. I'm loving all the advice I've recieved so far].

I've been on quite the blog search lately and have added some really lovely blogs to my dashboard that I thought I'd share with you because I think we all like to freshen up our blog roll every now and again. Feel free to check them all out and leave them some love (: You can find my previous 'bloglight' posts here and here.

rosieglow
Rosie from 'rosieglow' created her blog because she wanted to 'share (her) ideas and creativity in the world of fashion and art'. I haven't been following this blog for long but I already look forward to checking out what outfit Rosie has put together and enjoy reading about her recent escapades. I particularly liked reading the recent post she did on winter coats and how to style them. This is certainly a good blog to have on your dashboard if you like your vintage clothing or appreciate a good charity shop find or two. Go check 'rosieglow' out now and leave a comment (:

haystacks+loveshacks
Sophie from 'haystacks+loveshacks' aspires to be a fashion journalist and loves vintage, floral, cups of tea on a freezing cold morning and the smell of new books to name but a few things. She hasn't been blogging for long over here at blogger but I really like the whole vibe of her posts so far. If high street fashion is your sort of thing then I'm sure you'll appreciate this blog (: I fully agreed with her recent wishlist post - lace shorts? yes please. Take a peek and see what you think!

then she'll carelessly cut you
Rosie from 'then she'll carelessly cut you' is a fashion journalism student who uses her blog to 'post whatever takes her fancy'. She hasn't been blogging here for very long at all but the posts she's left are certainly 100x better than my early cringeworthy posts! With a mix of reviews, film posts, fashion posts and wishlists it's certainly a good blog for those that prefer eclectism in their reading material. Get yourself over there now and see if it takes your fancy! I certainly reccomend it.

laura, life & lemon sorbet
Laura from 'laura, life & lemon sorbet' started her blog to have somewhere to write about what she's 'thinking and doing'. Laura likes nights out, lazy mornings in, milky coffee and a nice bit of lemon sorbet to name but a few things. I found Laura's blog the other day and really liked the way it was written and fully appreciated the fact that Laura is in a similar situation with her relationship as me. I've really liked going back through the archives looking at her outfit posts and checking out her updates. It's a lovely read so make sure you go and pop along.

noraspy
Elle from 'noraspy' hopes to blog about her life, what she's wearing and what she's loving. From what I gather she likes shopping, clothes, shoes, the cinema and her friends to name but a few things. This is also a very new blog that I came across after Elle left me a comment and I'm rather glad she did. I can tell that her fashion posts are going to fit in well in the blogging world so I advise you go over now and click that follow button! I'm looking forward to seeing what she has to post about in the future (:

everyday ♥ forgotten
April from 'everyday forgotten' uses her blog to document her various adventures and outfits. She loves 'photography, adventures, music and (her) cats'. I was drawn to April's posts about her various adventures and got the munchies real bad when I read her soup post! I'd recommend April's blog to anyone that likes their outfit post blogs to be complimented by a beautiful backdrop and to people who like a good new recipe every once in a while. What are you waiting for? Hop over and have a look at what she's been up to lately!

*There you have it! I hope you find this post useful and end up adding some new blogs to your dashboard (: What blogs have you been enjoying recently? Are you already a follower of some of the girls above? What do you like about them and why? I hope you are all having a real nice week and I will be back again on Friday (:

Thursday, October 21, 2010

I was really pleased with the response that I got from the first 'bloglight' feature so I thought I'd do another post (: Here's a collection of some more blogs I've found recently that I am loving at the moment. Feel free to go look at them all and let me know what you think (: My job interview went really well but I've gotta wait about two weeks to find out whether or not I got the job :/ Eeek. In the meantime, I'm planning a little trip to London for the beau & I in January. I am very excited!

daisy loves tea
Daisy from 'Daisy Loves Tea' likes to blog about an eclectic mix of things and likes owls, film analysis, mushroom coloured clothing and feel good music amongst other things. I've been a fan of her tumblr for some time now so I was pleased to see she's branched out into the blogspot world (: If you're a big fan of movies (in particular Disney) then her blogs are certainly a must! I look forward to seeing what she has to blog about in the future and am sure that her blogspot will be just as whimsical and cute as her tumblr. Go check her out & follow!

gemma correll's daily diaries
I'm a huge fan of Gemma Correll and her work and have blogged about it on numerous occasions so I thought once more wouldn't hurt ;) Her daily diaries are perhaps one of my favourite things that she produces and are incredibly inspirational. They also never fail to put a smile on my face.  I've been wanting to start doing a similar things to these in my diary but it seems I lack the talent and the patience! Go check her work out!

noirnouvelle
Lauren from 'noirnouvelle' says her blog depicts her 'journey of getting the life back on track with a spring of other things in between' and loves playing piano, sophistication, ghostly complexions and wavy hair to name but a few things.  I really adore her outfit posts as she always has some real nice photos and ways of styling pieces. Furthermore, her photographs are beautiful and she's just a really lovely lady in general. I advise you to pop over - you will more than likely find yourself adding her blog to your dashboard!

aha shake heartbreaker
Vicky from 'Aha Shake Heartbreaker' blogs about her latest outfits, hauls, goings on and wishes to be Alexa Chung when she's older.  This lady sure knows how to dress! She's recently purchased the most beautiful Peter Pan collared dress and styled it absolutely perfectly. I love to catch up on her posts and find out what she's been up to. It's certainly a lovely read. Looking for a new outfit post blog? I'd advise you go and follow this one.

*There you have it! Go check out all these lovely ladies and let me know what you think (: I'm currently feeling quite ill which isn't fun at all. I may be back tomorrow for Friday Favourites but if I'm not feeling too good I may give it a miss. Have a lovely end to your week (:

Thursday, October 14, 2010

I've added so many new blogs to my dashboard lately so I thought I'd share my favourites! I'm always looking for new stuff to be inspired by / read so don't be shy and leave a comment (: I hope you girls/guys are all okay with me featuring your blogs. If not I'll be sure to take it down (:

kell bell;
Kelly at 'kell bell' says she's 'filling a void by blogging about all things beauty related' and likes floral, fluent sarcasm, banter and the morning after the night before to name but a few things. I stumbled across her blog not long ago and fell in love with the whimsical vibe of the place. Her beauty reviews are honest, extremely useful and completely on trend. Furthermore, she recently posted a fun 'whats in my bag' post that I find impossible to resist! I blogged about my interest in them a while back. Go check her blog out - I'm sure you'll love it!

being little;
Lyzi at 'being little' says her blog is about sharing her 'art, fashion, and some bits and bobs from (her) life'. She likes dressing up, collecting everything and thinking to name but a few things. There's something about this blog that is just so cheery and comforting. I also like it because it's quite eclectic as it features posts ranging from crafty projects to outfits to reviews. It's a lovely read (: Have a little peek and see what you think!

LITTLE ELFIE;
Ellie at 'LITTLE ELFIE' has such a cute little whimsical blog and likes book shops, midnight strolls and fishfinger sandwiches to name but a few things. This instantly makes her loveable! Her posts are extremely aesthetically pleasing and just incredibly cute. & She also likes Harry Potter which makes any blogger a winner in my books (: I suggest you go take a peek! It's certainly a nice read.

louder than silence;
Sally and Ross over at 'Louder Than Silence' pretty much write one of my favourite blogs and like fashion, design, people, culture and music. I just love the sense of togetherness and intimacy that you get when you read this blog. Personally, I've also felt a bit :/ about exposing my relationship / love for my boyfriend on here but these two have taught me it's something to celebrate! I am loving their new 'this week we've been mostly...' feature as it depicts what they've been listening to / reading & anticipating. It's a definite must read and I always look forward to seeing their posts flash up on the dashboard. Go check them out if you're looking for a new blog to read. You certainly won't regret it (:

r for rebecca;
Rebecca at 'R for Rebecca' posts about her latest hauls, her new outfits and general ramblings about her life. I only came across her blog a few days ago but I really liked working my way through all of her past posts. She really wears some lovely clothes and she's totally helped me make my mind up on whether or not to dye my hair red again! Have a look and leave some love! Oh, and she has an awesome name ;)

I hope you all enjoy reading these lovely blogs! & I'm sure sometime in the future I'll do another 'bloglight post'. If you'd like me to check out your blog just leave me a comment. I'll see you tomorrow for Friday Favourites ;)
