It's that time again already?! Holy hell, it'll be Christmas soon! *I totally did not watch the Coca Cola christmas advert on youtube yesterday* It's 70 nights til Christmas Eve if you're interested! Ahem, moving swiftly on...In my last 'quick update' I mentioned that I had been job hunting but to no avail. Alas, I have managed to get one job interview for a high street retail chain ;) I squealed like a little piglet when I put the phone down but then sort of came down and started screaming: 'OH MY GOD WHAT AM I GUNNA WEAR?!' This is where you lovely people come in. You lot are a fashionable bunch so I'd like to know what you would wear to a job interview at a fashion forward store. It'd be a great help as I'm clueless. Although, I have had some brilliant advice from the lovely Gem. That lady should write a book, I swear! I hope you all have lovely weekends. I'm off to Plymouth to spend it with the beau and I cannot wait!
001; ku-ki shop jewellery
I first came across these cute little delights when Michelle over at 'daisybutter' blogged about them a while back. Ku-ki shop is an online shop for the most quirky and cute handmade jewellery you have ever seen (: There are four fun collections: cutecutecute, sweetness, vintage and wonderland. I have to say my favourites have to be cutecutecute and sweetness. My favourites pieces? There are far too many to choose from! How about these colourful earrings, donut necklace and this adorable cupcake necklace. Let me know what you think (:002; anthropologie home decor
Sometimes I find nothing better than spending my time looking at various interior sites/catalogues and lusting after random items like tea towels. I know...my life sounds thrilling right?! My best friends and I even spend our 'girl time' raiding such stores for decor delights and Anthropologie never fails to rise to the challenge. There are so many nice little things over at Anthropologie that I would love to own and adorn my living space with. I think I just admire the quirky prints that you don't see available in the high street stores. My favourite things include: the painted owl wallpaper, Distant Voyage quilt, loyal tea towel and just about a million other things. Go check it out for yourself and let me know what your favourite pieces are (:003; crystalised by the xx
Everyone's been hyped bout The XX for a while now but I chose to ignore them as I think a lot of things get bigged up these days that are simply hideous. However, upon listening to them I realised that I actually adored them. They're like a floaty version of The Cure which is ideal seeing as they're my favourite band. They won't be everyone's cup of tea but they've done quite well as they've recently won the prestigious Mercury Prize! I love their sound because it's the sort of music you could easily get lost in. I advise you to also check out 'Teardrops', 'VCR' and 'Islands'. Let me know what you think.
004; cardboard love
I stumbled across these the other day and swooned. I know that they're a little sickly sweet but you've just gotta admire the effort. I wish I got cute little notes like this *hint hint*. They're written by a person in love who just wanted to banish their negative thoughts and embrace a bit of love. Go check them all out here. There hasn't been any updates since July so I'm guessing they're working on a new project but even still they're worth a viewing. Do you like getting little romantic notes or do you find them a little too much?005; scrubs
Scrubs is one of my 'go to' shows when I'm feeling a little down or can't be arsed to remove myself from the sofa all day. I'm one of those people that has all the box sets and would quite happily sit with you and recite scenes. I just love the balance they have between the comedy and the drama. Furthermore, JD's dream sequences are frankly hilarious because a lot of the time I also picture similar things and I usually end my day with an inner monologue. Are any of you fellow Scrubs fans? Whats your 'go to' show?*Have a lovely weekend and keep smiling.
I'll see you Monday for another 'H is for Happy post'.
