'friday favourites' is back for a third week - christ this week has gone fast!! for those that do not know, 'ff' is a weekly feature at vivatramp that showcases what i've been inspired by/liking/researching throughout the week! i hope you've all been well these past few days. i've been indulging in lots of time with my beau before he leaves for uni in less than two weeks - eeek! i've got so many little leaving presents/dates to sort out before he goes! stressful stressful. anyway, have a great weekend lovelies. i'm planning on doing some weekend posts so keep your eyes peeled. ciao.

001; falling confetti garden
i stumbled across this amazingly cute & intricate art installation whilst searching the blogsphere recently & couldn't believe i hadn't seen it until now as it was created by swedish artists back in 2003! 'the falling garden' is the beautiful lovechild of swiss artists gerda steiner & jorg lenzlinger and it genuinely makes me want to raid the craft drawer & turn my room into a floral wonderland! this particular installation was created using various different resources and products such as orange peels, rubber snakes, waste paper & plastic berries. their work together is contemporary yet extremely delicate. gardening never seemed so tempting (:

002; hands by the ting tings
those northern electro cronies are back with their second album! yep, the ting tings follow up has been unleashed on the world &whilst it isn't too much of a departure from their debut it's nothing to complain about. i've only caught this on the radio a couple times but so far i seem to quite like it in a generic dancey catchy chorus sort of way. it was produced by calvin harris and was written in berlin in a confined little room that the band shut themselves away in for two months. that's dedication! it's a nice little tune to listen to whilst catching up on a bit of housework. let me know what you think. enjoy! *sorry for the crappy fan lyric video - they've yet to create an official video!

003; missed connections blog
i stumbled across this artwork whilst reading chloe's post on 'missed connections' over at dirt on your new shoes a week ago & instantly loved the whole concept. artist sophie blackall refers to missed connection ads for inspiration to create heartfelt artwork that is both emotionally & aesthetically pleasing. i found her sentiment behind the prints really inspiring & loved the depth behind each piece. you can check it all out here at the missed connections blog or go ahead & pop over to her etsy. i'm a sucker for all the little stories & just wanna sit down & write a little novel on each print! go check it all out!

004; leopard print trapper hat
okay, so i'm one of those girls that will go out of her way to buy a quirky hat that will embarass the rest of my friends & family! last year it was the turn of the rod stewart wig style hat from river island & this year they've done it again but with this little beauty! leopard print? earred? pom pom? trapper? sorry, but what's not to love?! i have have have to buy it. it'd be criminal not to! for some reason they don't have a frontal view on the website - annoying! but hey. whatcha think?

005; dexter
okay, so i'm gunna admit it - i'm in love with dexter morgan the serial killer. i'm currently half way through season four & i'm completely devoted to the story! for anyone that hasn't seen it before, dexter is basically about a guy that has an insatiable need to kill but because he's such a lovely man he only kills people that deserve it. & the show just follows his work for miami metro police & the various cases that they get involved in etc *yeah i can't describe things well - go google dexter ;) i don't watch tv but i absolutely cannot resist this series. honestly, go check it out if you haven't already!!
*there we go. my five friday favourites - feel free to comment & let me know what you think. your comments are all read & very much appreciated! & please, feel free to follow me both here & over at twitter! keep smiling.
