in this day & age, there are few tracks that refuse to bow down to conformity & in doing so demand the full attention/heart of the listener. yet, this is something that justin vernon emulated with his 2008 offering 'for emma, forever ago' under the moniker 'bon iver' (french for good winter). a title decided whilst vernon was cooped up in the winconsin northwood's in his fathers log cabin *an idyllic setting, i'm sure you'll agree*. i know it's not new or fresh when its release date is concerned but every time i listen to this album or this particular track it feels new again...as if there's a new level to discover with every listen. i defy you to not completely enjoy the bliss of this song...

do you have particular songs that give you a similar feeling?
