lazing on a sunny afternoon
Hello ladies and gents! Apologies for not posting yesterday; I was busy enjoying the sunshine! The British countryside is so beautiful under the haze of the bright sun. I'm home alone at Luke's today so I've been trying to make my own fun. This has involved sunbathing with a good book, watching ants carry a dead fly home and marvelling at the grunts of the ladies at Wimbledon. It might not shout fun to all, but, it kept me pretty happy. My birthday presents arrived yesterday! It's silly but I still act like a 5 year old when it comes to my birthday - as much as I like to pretend I dislike birthdays altogether. I think I've also received some film for my beautiful Diana Mini from the super awesome Zoe. How kind is that lady?! I say I 'think' because my mother phoned and said a little package that 'made a noise when shaken' had arrived. Genius! If anyone's got any tips on using the Diana Mini please feel free to send them my way. I'm thinking of taking it to Corfu for holiday snaps. Is that a good idea?
I'm currently trying to beg my Mother to take me to the Zoo for my birthday. Yes, I'm 5 years old. I absolutely love the Orangutans and you can't beat watching the Baboons shagging/fighting for half an hour can you?! I've also been busy sorting out holiday posts/blogsitters for Little V when I head off to Corfu. It's all looking pretty exciting so far! My mind is already in holiday mode. I'm super excited for it right now! All these lovely sun graced thoughts have definitely cheered me up lately. If you read my Twitter, you'll know that I had a particularly bad day the other day. Family problems persisted and to top it all off the cat I usually catsit had to be put down. She was sunbathing on top of a van roof and before the driver realised she had broken bones. At 23 years old, she had a long happy life but I just can't help but cry about the way she had to go. She must've been so frightened. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a melancholy post. I'm going to go and eat a Muiller Corner. Oh god, they're awfully good aren't they?! I'll see you tomorrow for another post!
.....I can't leave this post without including a photograph of the little man keeping me company today!
